Caring staff and amazing rehab team and facilities.
Went into consulting area today to organise a minor day procedure. when I politely informed staff that I have no friends or family and live alone.. I was talked down to, treated like a liar and cited policy by a rude and agressive nurse.. I never argued or did anything to provoke this other than be honest.. if it can't be done because I have no-one then so be it.. no need to put me down about it.. point to note, I live 200m away from the hospital and don't own a car or drive (I informed them of this) and the ladies at the front desk were very understanding. Then this one nurse who wouldn't give her name pulled me aside and had a go at me
You could walk into this hospital and seriously leave in a bag!! Dr's more interested in treatment of drug addicts and Alcoholics than everyday people! Mental healthcare is non existent for anyone who isn't one of the above! Emergency staff giving false name's when asked for information! No contingency plans for mental health! Dr Francis in ER claiming patients are suicidal when forensic psychiatrists report's prove otherwise! No duty of care! No compassion! No accountability! No transparency and NO IDEA!!
Unexpectedly punched out a kidney stone in the wee hrs of the morning and was superbly taken care of. Thankyou very much Berri hospital/emergency.
Unfortunately I had to spend a couple of nights here due to illness, and the staff were very supportive and extremely helpful during that time.I had my own room, TV was at no cost and meals were to be as expected.
